This magnificent villa, is home to an active family who spent five years living through an extensive remodel. In the end, they loved the large house, but they just didn’t feel “at home” in the rooms. The challenge was to finish the interior in a way that would create a more intimate and inviting environment. We established a multi-hued palette inspired by the clients’ collection of acquired rugs, and went to work. Antiques were reorganized and pieces of comfortable custom furniture, lighting and mirrors were added to fill the rooms. Upholstery was covered in muted linens and silk velvets for softness and texture, while lush vintage accent fabrics-- embellished with leather and fringe, added an extra touch of old world glamour. The luxurious decor was completed with a thoughtful curation of hand-picked Italian and American accessories. The final result is a timeless, intimate interior that now compliments both the elegant architecture of the house, and the clients’ own relaxed lifestyle
